Ralph Lauren has announced he is stepping down as CEO from his self titled label. Lauren will, however, stay on as executive chairman, and chief creative officer at the company which he founded 48 years ago.
Lauren will step aside in November when Stefan Larsson, President of Old Navy and ex-executive of H&M, will step into the role.
“When they start designing things I don’t understand I will quit, but I don’t feel like I am stepping back now,” Lauren told the New York Times in an earlier interview.
