A huge fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon on Abu Dhabi's Reem Island.
Large plumes of black smoke were visible from far away as emergency services tackled the fire.
"Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority teams have dealt with a fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a building on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi," police said in a post on X.
"The area is being evacuated and updates should be sought from official sources only."
