At least four Palestinians were killed and more than 15 others wounded in Israeli strikes on a vehicle in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday.

Bodies arrived to Jenin Hospital in pieces, its director Wissam Bakr told Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The men killed were not actively participating in confrontations with Israeli forces, a witness said.

Israeli forces fired at ambulances and “prevented teams from reaching the injured” after a vehicle in Jenin was struck, the Palestinian Red Crescent said in a post on X.

The Israeli attacks on Jenin, which began on Monday, caused major damage to roads, infrastructure and civilian property.

In Jenin camp, Israeli bulldozers destroyed buildings and troops damaged electrical transformers, which led to power cuts.

Israeli forces have been carrying out incursions and arrests across the West Bank over the past few days.

The Jenin refugee camp has been a target of Israeli military campaigns, particularly since the war broke out in Gaza on October 7. The Netanyahu government claims the camp is a stronghold of armed factions responsible for committing and plotting attacks against Israel.

On Monday night, four people were killed, including a 14 year-old boy, in Tubas, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. Two 19 year-old men and one 36 year-old man were also killed and while several others were wounded by live ammunition.

On Tuesday, one man was killed in Bethlehem after sustaining severe injuries by Israeli gunfire.

Three men were arrested in the south of Al Khalil, and three others were detained in Bethlehem.

Israel also carried out raids in towns and villages in the north, west and east of Ramallah.

A wounded man was arrested during a raid on his home in Kafran, after Israeli forces searched and vandalised it, Wafa reported.

In the backdrop of the West Bank raids, Israeli attacks on Gaza continued.

A Palestinian man was killed and others injured in an Israeli drone attack on a motorcycle near Zuwaida area in central Gaza overnight, Wafa news agency reported.

Four people were killed after Israeli shelling on a group of citizens in Al Abraj Street in the Tal Al Hawa area in Gaza city, the report said. Two people were killed in air strikes in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli gunboats fired several shells at the port area west of Gaza city, while Israeli artillery fired shells at the Tal Al Hawa neighbourhood.

What is graphene?

Graphene is extracted from graphite and is made up of pure carbon.

It is 200 times more resistant than steel and five times lighter than aluminum.

It conducts electricity better than any other material at room temperature.

It is thought that graphene could boost the useful life of batteries by 10 per cent.

Graphene can also detect cancer cells in the early stages of the disease.

The material was first discovered when Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov were 'playing' with graphite at the University of Manchester in 2004.
