The nose behind Dior’s Cologne Blanche, Elie Saab’s Le Parfum and the My Burberry fragrances, Francis Kurkdjian is one of the world’s leading perfumers. Last month, Kurkdjian visited Dubai for the UAE launch of his latest scent: the intriguingly named Oud Satin Mood Extrait de Parfum, at Paris Gallery.
The perfume combines two of the Middle East’s most loved notes: oud and rose. To this, Kurkdjian introduces violet blossoms for a blend that is, as the name suggests, smooth as satin. Notes of amber, vanilla accord and benzoin resin complement the sweet woodiness of the resultant aroma, which can be worn by both men and women.
Oud Satin Mood is branded under Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the label that the French perfumer founded in 2009 to create luxury scents that fulfilled his desire for "a sensual, generous and multifaceted landscape of free expression".
The new perfume is available at Paris Gallery boutiques across the UAE.
