The Ministry of Health has warned the public against using Super Hard Power pills to treat impotence. Laboratory analysis has shown that the supplements contain Sildenafil and Tadalafil, which can cause severe hypotension and even death in heart patients. Dr Amin Hussain Al Amiri, assistant undersecretary of public health policy warned people against buying herbal products which they consider safe to use but which prove to be harmful to the health if used incorrectly, excessively or without medical advice. He said the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases were particularly susceptible.
Many of these products are manufactured for fast results but can cause users to take a catastrophic turn.
He called upon the public not to be misled by ads posted on the internet and social media of products that might be non-compliant with the medical specifications and of unknown sources. Instead, medications, whether herbal or conventional, should be obtained from licensed pharmacies and by prescription.
