They were wed on Saturday night, and on Sunday night, Akash and Shloka Ambani held a reception - complete with fireworks - at Jio World Centre.

The Bollywood celebrities who attended included Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, Dia Mirza, Shilpa Shetty, Karisma Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Arjun Kapoor. Cricketers were also there, including Sachin Tendulkar and Irfan Pathan.

There is yet another reception to come: the final party is in Mumbai on Monday night.

Akash is the son of India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, while Shloka is the daughter of diamond tycoons Russell and Mona Mehta. The pair were engaged in Goa last year. The Ambani family wealth is estimated to be around US$50 billion (Dh184 billion).

At the reception, Maroon 5 performed a personal gig, with the newlyweds dancing along as Adam Levine sung on stage:
