The Oh Happy Days smoothie is a good source of vitamins D, B2 and E. It contains dates, which are are high in B-group vitamins, which help the body deal with stress and boost nervous system health.

The raw cocoa from the cacao nibs stimulates serotonin, endorphins and dopamine, the three key neurotransmitters involved in regulating mood. Serotonin is the brain chemical that acts as a natural anti-depressant.

Oh Happy Days smoothie

Preparation time: 3 minutes

Serves 2-3

Ingredients

1 avocado

3tbsp cacao nibs

4 medjool dates, pitted

1tbsp groud flaxseed

500ml unsweetened almond milk

Method

• Cut the avocado in half (lengthwise) and remove the stone. Scope out the flesh and add it to the blender with the rest of the ingredients.

• Blend until smooth; add more or less almond milk depending on the desired consistency.
