Smoothie Sunday: Chasing the Blues Away recipe
This smoothie is packed with mood-boosting ingredients. Swiss chard is a good source of magnesium which helps to calm nerves and relax muscles, while blueberries are rich in antioxidants, which help to fight inflammation and ageing. The smoothie is also a good source of fibre.
Chasing the Blues Away smoothie
Preparation time: 13 minutes
250ml unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp chia seeds, soaked
100g Swiss chard, washed
1 banana, fresh or frozen
2 tbsp flaxseeds
• Soak the chia seeds in a little water for 10 minutes.
• Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
• Pour into a glass, serve immediately and enjoy.
