For those looking to kickstart their fitness in the new year, Puma is promising to light up Dubai with a series of runs starting this month.
The sports brand has joined forces with runners around the world to create Ignite City Crews to help challenge and inspire other runners to leave their excuses at home and aim to be fitter, faster and stronger.
The three-race night series offers 5-kilometre and 10km routes, both crossing Meydan bridge with the Dubai skyline in the background. Races will be held on January 17, March 22 and April 12, starting at 7.30pm. Each race costs Dh175, which includes entry, a goody bag and post-race refreshments, and there are categories for age groups starting from 13 years.
Puma will also hold the #IgniteDXB Hatta Hills Running Festival on March 10. The daytime event will be run through the Hajar Mountains and around Hatta Dam and is organised with families in mind. Distances include 3km and 5km for children (Dh100 entry) and 5km, 10km and half-marathon for adults (Dh150).
