  A box rack with bags of different shapes and sizes hanging from a rig will be used for Mauy Thai training and TRX classes.

  The K2, a bright red fitness equipment with stairs that combine more than 20 workout stations in one, is the assistive zone that helps simulate a state of constant tension that professional boxers face in the ring.

  The gym is stocked with equipment for strength training and powerlifting athletes

  UFC gym will cater to fitness enthusiasts who prefer group classes that combine strength, conditioning and cardio workouts.

  The gym also retails UFC gear and merchandise such as training gloves and jerseys.

• 

  The centrepiece is an impressive 24-ft octagon, the only one in the Middle East, with meshed walls and padded surface for safety during sparring.

• 

  Members who prefer a cadio-intensive plan can find a range of treadmills from the traditional motorised ones to manual equipment.

• 

  One end of the gym houses heavyweight equipments and machines, with dumbbells up to 50kgs neatly stacked across a mirrored wall.

• 

  According to the UAE’s fitness guidelines, the 10 coaches for Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Boxing are Level 3 and 4 certified, and also hold ranks in their individual sport.

The Dubai gym – which joins branches in 120 locations in the United States, Australia and Canada – is set to open on April 21.
