A wealth of actors, models and singers touched down in Italy this weekend, but it wasn't for just any summer holiday.

Stars including Somali-American hijiabi model Halima Aden and High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens ventured to Sardinina on Friday, August 9 to attend the annual Unicef Summer Gala.

The charitable black-tie bash, held in partnership with luxury retailer LuisaViaRoma, raised funds for the global children's non-profit, with a live auction and performances from Ellie Goulding and Dame Shirley Bassey.

Held in Porto Cervo, the star-studded evening attracted the likes of model Adriana Lima, actor Adrien Brody and Game of Thrones' Nathalie Emmanuel.

The region was also represented on the night, with Australian-Lebanese model Jessica Kahawaty, TV host Diala Makki and Saudi Arabian film producer Mohammed Al Turki in attendance.
