Priyanka Chopra has revealed how she first met now-husband Nick Jonas, and it seems the pair have had a very modern romance.

"He DMed me actually. So millennial of us," the Baywatch actress told chat show host, Ellen DeGeneres. "He DMed me on Twitter saying 'I've heard we should connect and uh… I've heard from common friends that we should meet. What do you think about that? I was like, 'just text me'."

Chopra married Jonas Brother, Nick Jonas in a lavish three-day ceremony in India, in December last year. The 36-year-old went on to tell DeGeneres that they had an "intimate" guest list of 200 people.

"[It was] super intimate with 200 people!" she explained. "Usually Indian weddings are like thousand people at least. We had only 200 because both of us have giant families... We just wanted to keep it super intimate, about just family."

DeGeneres then called the couple out for not inviting her to the wedding, revealing that Nick Jonas rented from her, early in his career.

"I think I had the Jonas Brothers on [my show] first, before anybody. They were here when they were really, really young," DeGeneres explained. "Then, Nick lived in my condo, I was his landlord. So, I guess I was cut off."

Chopra then joked that her mother was upset that she had such a 'small' wedding guest list.

"My mother was so upset with me the entire time," she explained. "She was like, 'I need to have another people for the 150,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweller? How can I not invite my hairdresser?' So it was a whole conversation."

Chopra was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show promoting her new movie, Isn't It Romantic. A romcom starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth.
