The all-new Lexus UX, which takes its name from its designation as an urban crossover (or, to shoehorn it into that name, x-over), had its wraps taken off this weekend at an unveiling at Dubai International Financial Centre.
Billed by its Japanese makers as a 'creative urban explorer', its intended youthful appeal can perhaps be credited to its designer, Chika Kako, who is Lexus's first female chief engineer.
The crossover has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine paired to a 10-speed continuously variable transmission, with a low centre of gravity that Lexus says makes it drive more like a saloon.
Much like many of Lexus's models, the fastest incarnation will be offered in an F Sport trim.
The UX will cost from Dh150,000, with the F Sport variants costing from Dh160,000.
