From new and limited-edition models to celebratory events around the globe, this year has seen the enthusiastic marking of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary.

That continues this Saturday (September 9), when one of the most impressive stables of Prancing Horses ever to go on sale will go under the hammer in RM Sotheby’s auction Ferrari – Leggenda e Passione (you probably don’t need an Italian dictionary to translate that title) at the carmaker’s factory in Maranello, Italy.

We have picked out the 10 most expensive cars from the sale, from several 1950s and 1960s Ferrari 250s through to a 2017 LaFerrari Aperta, with a combined conservative estimate value of more than Dh150 million. Click through our gallery to see the prize lots, in ascending order.
