Adrenalin junkies are set to welcome the return of Nitro Circus Live.

Held at the Yas Marina Circuit on October 6, the Abu Dhabi show will have the troupe performing for the first time on an F1 race track with their flashy array of signature acrobatics and death-defying stunts.

Featuring over 30 “action sports athletes” and a large contingent of BMX and freestyle motocross riders, the show features a new array of contraptions in addition to a 40 food Giganta Ramp.

Led by American action sports luminary, Travis Pastrana, Nitro Circus made its debut in 2010 and has performed to more than three million people across 160 cities with sold out shows in iconic venues such as New York Madison Square Garden.

The show was also spun off into a realty television series on MTV, between 2012 to 2014, which followed Pastrana and his team during their world tour.

UAE fans will also get the added benefit of free access to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi with their tickets. “We are thrilled to welcome the global action sports phenomenon Nitro Circus Live’ back to the UAE and for the very first time Yas Island,” said Geraldo Lianes from Yas Island Destination Management. “Filled with spectacular tricks and mind blowing stunts, this high-octane show is sure to be a hit for adrenaline junkies. In addition, we are excited all attendees to Nitro Circus also have inclusive access to visit Ferrari World Abu Dhabi – the action and excitement never stops on Yas Island

Tickets go on sale  on August 7 from Dh250 at www.tixbox.xom

Teaching your child to save

Pre-school (three - five years)

You can’t yet talk about investing or borrowing, but introduce a “classic” money bank and start putting gifts and allowances away. When the child wants a specific toy, have them save for it and help them track their progress.

Early childhood (six - eight years)

Replace the money bank with three jars labelled ‘saving’, ‘spending’ and ‘sharing’. Have the child divide their allowance into the three jars each week and explain their choices in splitting their pocket money. A guide could be 25 per cent saving, 50 per cent spending, 25 per cent for charity and gift-giving.

Middle childhood (nine - 11 years)

Open a bank savings account and help your child establish a budget and set a savings goal. Introduce the notion of ‘paying yourself first’ by putting away savings as soon as your allowance is paid.

Young teens (12 - 14 years)

Change your child’s allowance from weekly to monthly and help them pinpoint long-range goals such as a trip, so they can start longer-term saving and find new ways to increase their saving.

Teenage (15 - 18 years)

Discuss mutual expectations about university costs and identify what they can help fund and set goals. Don’t pay for everything, so they can experience the pride of contributing.

Young adulthood (19 - 22 years)

Discuss post-graduation plans and future life goals, quantify expenses such as first apartment, work wardrobe, holidays and help them continue to save towards these goals.
