A new sand cruiser will be making its Middle East debut at Abu Dhabi's Liwa Festival.

The covers will come off the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, a vehicle the company claims is the most off-road capable midsize truck in history, at the region’s biggest and brashest celebration of motorsports and 4x4 culture on December 27.

Accompanying the new arrival at the US manufacturer's dedicated stand will be this year's Wrangler.

The Gladiator is Trail Rated, which is a measure Jeep uses to indicate which of its vehicles has the best traction, maneuverability, ground clearance, performance in water and general off-road ability.

It's powered by a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine that'll crank out 285 horse power. The eight-speed automatic transmission should see drivers able to tackle a few tough dunes as well, which is just as well at Liwa.

If you want this launch model though, you'll have to get moving as only 300 will be available in the Middle East.
