The world got a new glimpse at four-month-old Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor yesterday, as he escorted his parents to a meeting with former archbishop Desmond Tutu.
The tot, who has rarely been seen apart from a few shots on social media, has certainly grown since his official christening pictures in July, as his mother, Meghan Markle, attested on Wednesday, September 25.
The Duchess of Sussex donated some of Archie's “loved but outgrown” clothes while visiting a non-profit organisation in Cape Town, as part of her royal tour of South Africa.
The duchess gifted a number of items, including her son's Invictus Games onesie, as she met with fellow parents at Mothers 2 Mothers, a charity dedicated to preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
M2M trains and employs women living with the disease, helping them become frontline health workers around Africa.
Meghan donated two large bags of clothes from Archie and her friends' babies, the Sussex Royal Instagram page revealed, as she met with a group of women who act as community mentors for M2M.
“It’s so important we’re able to share what’s worked for our family and know that you’re all in this together with each other. So we just wanted to share some things from our home to each of yours," the duchess told the group.
During her visit, Meghan met with fellow mothers and played with their babies, as well as embraced several young fans outside the organisation's offices.

“She sat on the ground with us and engaged with the children. She played ball with them, [and] she caught their eye, never forgetting the mentor mothers she was talking to,” M2M's chief executive, Frank Beadle, said following the royal's visit. “You have the feeling that here is a person who is very real. I think she left everyone touched and extremely motivated by her energy and her presence and that’s really special.”
What else have the royals been up to?
On Wednesday, Meghan also made a solo visit to the Woodstock Exchange, where she attended an event with 12 female entrepreneurs, as Prince Harry prepared to travel to Botswana.
The Duke of Sussex will make short solo visits to Malawi, Botswana and Angola before reuniting with the duchess and Archie in South Africa towards the end of the family's 10-day tour.
The couple, along with their first-born, earlier met former archbishop and Nobel Prize winner Desmond Tutu and his wife at their charity foundation in Cape Town.
One Tuesday, the duke and duchess visited a mosque in Cape Town's Bo-Kaap district, where they saw the country's oldest copy of the Quran.
Earlier in the day, the couple visited Monwabisi Beach to take part in mindfulness and wellness activities with volunteers from a foundation called Waves for Change. The initiative uses surfing to provide mental health support and services to young people in need.
On their first day in the country, the couple paid a visit to the the Nyanga township, where the unemployment rate is among the highest in South Africa.
While in Nyanga, they chatted to children and adults, after watching a workshop that works with young children in the area.
