Justin Bieber reportedly proposed to the 21-year-old Hailey Baldwin over dinner at a restaurant in The Bahamas. AFP 

It’s a joyous (or possibly sad – depending on whom you ask) day for Beliebers. Rumour has it that Justin Bieber is engaged to Hailey Baldwin after proposing to her during a trip to the Bahamas. The couple dated back in 2016, but had broken up only to rekindle their romance once again.

UPDATE: It appears the rumour is true as Bieber took to his Instagram to confirm the news. He wrote on his Instagram:

"You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!!

TMZ first reported that the the 24-year-old proposed in a restaurant while members of his security team asked everyone to put away their smartphones because "something special was about to happen".

Justin's father Jeremy Bieber uploaded this post on Instagram with the caption: "Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!"
