Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India, with a reported net worth that hovers around the US$40 billion mark (Dh147 billion). So it's to be expected that with the marriage of his eldest son comes many lavish occassions - Saturday night saw the engagement party of Akash Ambani, 27, and Shloka Mehta (whose father is a well-known diamond merchant).
The star-studded party was held at Antilia - the extravagant, billion-dollar-value 27-storey tower in South Mumbai that is the home of the Ambani family (and famously needs a staff of 600 to maintain it), and it was definitely star studded.
Antilia is the tallest building in this picture:
The engagement party capped off a week of events and parties (with a pre-engagement party held on the Thursday night too). All of the events were a veritable who's who of Bollywood. Priyanka Chopra turned up with her new boyfriend Nick Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan was there with his wife Gauri and his lookalike son Aryan Khan, as was Sachin Tendulkar, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt - there were even A-list performances (and the floral arrangements alone clearly cost more than your average luxury car).
Here's all the action from inside the Ambani engagement party...
