Furniture by luxury Italian brand IPE Cavalli is now available from Aati stores in Dubai. The company's new Visionnaire collection of upholstery and lighting is rich, textured and brimming with neoclassical references. 4. International appeal

We've only recently been introduced to the work of Beirut-born interior architect Vick Vanlian. Vanlian first visited the Milan Furniture Fair when he was 10 years old and has since built a successful career designing interiors. He is in the process of opening a dedicated V World boutique in Beirut and his products, which are original, ultra-modern and a bit wacky, have earned him a place at the top of our one-to-watch list. 5. Giving thanks
