The spring/summer homeware collections are in stores now. Here’s our pick of the best.
1 Urban edge
If you’re looking for unusual tableware, The Urban Yogi should always be your first port of call – and the brand’s latest collection doesn’t disappoint. From the abstract patterning on the Florentine plate to the colourful zigzags on this eye-catching platter, there’s something here for everyone.
• Ziggy platter, Dh150, The Urban Yogi, Mercato Mall, www.theurbanyogi.me and www.tejuri.com
2 Tropical treat
Zara Home has gone pineapple-tastic for its spring/summer collection, with mirrors, vases, lampshades, cushions and even frames inspired by the tropical fruit. We’ve singled out this pretty pink tealight holder, which would make a particularly fun addition to an uninspiring outdoor space.
• Tropical Pineapple Tealight Holder, Dh95, Zara Home stores nationwide
3 A blue summer
Indigo Living has brightened up its offering this spring, with a fresh take on traditional styles. A standout piece from the new collection is the retro-inspired Betsy Blue Chair – a hand-built and hand-covered frame is upholstered in a 100 per cent linen fabric with white piping and button detailing.
• Betsy Blue Chair, Dh3,490, Indigo Living, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai
4 Colourful cabinet
The American brand Ethan Allen is celebrating spring with a collection that is bursting with colour and pattern. We love the wooden Pierre Curio Cabinet – classic lines and bevelled glass door fronts are combined with a cheery shade of yellow, to striking effect.
• Pierre Curio Cabinet, Dh11,090, Ethan Allen, The Dubai Mall
5 Hip to be square
You can never go wrong with stripes – especially when they come in the vibrant shades featured in Kas Australia’s Nikki collection. In addition to the teal and white version pictured here, there are bright orange, pink and yellow options. We’d get one of each for a design statement that packs a real punch.
• Nikki Square Cushion, Dh149, Kas Australia, The Dubai Mall, Mirdif City Centre, Mercato Mall and Dubai Outlet Mall
