Hot list: A French twist on luxury carpets

1 French inspiration

The latest launch from luxury carpet brand Hossein Rezvani was inspired by the French Aubusson. Rezvani has long been interested in the flat-woven wool Aubusson carpets, which were a favourite of the elite in 17th- and 18th-century France. Just as he did with his Persia Reinvented collection, Rezvani has given the traditional style a modern makeover. The end result is Frenchie Twist, which is made in Isfahan and has 400,000 knots per square metre.

2 Simply does it

3 Par for the course

The Chelsea College of Art and Design is to run another series of short interior design courses in Dubai this October. In addition to all the old favourites, the college has launched a number of courses, including Colour for Interior Design, Exploring Materials for Interiors, Introduction to Furniture Design and Soft Furnishings.
