World of Nobu food festival in Dubai

Celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa has gathered a team of 21 chefs from his Nobu restaurants around the world and brought them to Dubai for the first ever World of Nobu festival held at Nobu Dubai in Atlantis, The Palm.

On October 16, World of Nobu will start with a party from 9pm to 3am where guests will dine on unlimited tapas from the Nobu chefs. The chefs will be visiting from Nobu restaurants in cities such as London, Malibu, Tokyo, Cape Town, Milan and Mykonos among others. The kick-off party is Dh450 per person.

On Friday, October 17, there will be a Global Tasting Festival from noon to 4pm in the restaurant where diners can taste more than 80 dishes from a menu designed to show off the visiting chef’s signature dishes. Cost of the brunch is Dh595 per person.

A high fashion 6-course gala dinner with live cooking demonstrations will end the festival on Friday evening. Guests will get the chance to watch and listen as chef Nobu shares his culinary techniques. Salha and The Million Dollar Band will be on hand to entertain. Cost of the gala dinner is Dh995 per person.

For the event, Atlantis is offering a Nobu Getaway package. Starting at Dh2,845, it includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room, entry to the kick-off party for two and international breakfast for two. The package also includes unlimited entry into Aquaventure Waterpark and the Lost Chambers Aquarium.

Classification of skills

A worker is categorised as skilled by the MOHRE based on nine levels given in the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) issued by the International Labour Organisation.
