In case you haven't heard — Lady Gaga's in town. While nearly all of her fans in the Emirates are focused on what she'll be wearing and singing for tonight's performance, some of us are more interested in what she'll be eating. We haven't yet figured out what hotel the star has chosen as her home away from home while in Dubai, but we do know the hotel is treating her well. She posted a pic on Instagram of the welcome basket she received in her room on arrival. Here's what she'll be snacking on in her room during her stay:
- A tiered assortment of biscotti, chocolate chip cookies and what looks like meringue cookies
- 4 glasses filled with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries ad blackberries (by the time she posted the pic, the blackberry glass was half gone)
- A plate full of colourful bonbons
- Another tiered display of dates, Turkish delights and something on the bottom level that we can’t identify
- A glass plate of at least two dozen macaroons
- An assortment of nuts and chocolates
- A basket of fruit that includes a pineapple, bananas, red and green apples, lychees, kumquats and pears
Given the amount of food she’s received, I’m not sure she’ll have a reason to hit any of Dubai’s hottest restaurants, but we hope she does. And she better make it a steakhouse — or somewhere where she can get a little protein in her body. The amount of sugar in this display is enough to spike everyone’s blood sugar.
