Truffle tasting menu and cooking class in the Burj Khalifa

It’s truffle season and Armani/Ristorante in Dubai is serving up a special tasting menu to celebrate the beloved fungus. From now until the end of November, the restaurant is offering a seven-course truffle tasting menu with dishes that include a Parmesan and truffle creme brûlée, sea bass with black truffle and truffle ice cream. The tasting menu is Dh900 per person. Guests can also get their fill of truffle when they order from the à la carte menu. Dishes include egg yolk tagliolini with white truffle, black Angus beef tartare with white truffle and veal tenderloin with black truffle.

If you can’t get enough of the delicacy, chef Alessandro Salvatico will also host a one-day truffle cooking class at Armani/Ristorante in November. Using the Piemonte truffle, which comes from the foot of the Italian Alps, participants in the class will learn how to make beef carpaccio with truffle and Parmesan, carnaroli risotto with white truffle and veal tenderloin with truffle mash. The truffle cooking class is Saturday, November 26 from 11am to 3pm and includes lunch. Dh600 per person or Dh1,000 per couple. Advance payment is required for the class.
