Sample Emirati cuisine with CitiSpi promotion

CitiSpi, a new platform promoting restaurant, spa and leisure deals in Dubai’s five star hotels, is calling on UAE foodies to explore Emirati cuisine.

On Saturday October 8 at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Deira Creek, the hotel’s director of kitchens, chef Uwe Micheel will give a series of cooking demonstrations. Dishes to be prepared will include the traditional Emirati fare of fish samak, spiced chicken margoogat and pumpkin aseeda bobar.

Those keen can sign up for the event on CitiSpi’s Facebook page and savour the cuisine for themselves with a three-course lunch at Aseelah restaurant from Dh185. They will also receive recipe cards to encourage them to cook the local food at home.

• Chef Uwe Micheel’s demonstration will take place from 10am until 1:30pm on October 8 at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Deira.
