Ruth's Chris Steak House closes down in Dubai Marina

The stalwart steakhouse has shut up shop, but a new one is set to spring up in its place soon

Ruth's Chris Steak House is a bit of an American institution when it comes to fine-dining meateries, and its UAE restaurant was beloved. But now it's no more, as the Dubai Marina branch has permanently closed down. The restaurant marked its ending with a closing party and ladies' night, reported local magazine Ahlan!.

Ruth Fertel bought the original Chris Steak House in New Orleans in 1965, and since then the chain has been rolled out across the world, with countless branches opening up.

The UAE's flagship outpost was based at The Address Dubai Marina, and was particularly popular for its weekly ladies' night.

That said, it looks as though punters won't have to wait long for their steak fix in the Marina, as another restaurant is set to spring up in its place soon.

The National can confirm this will be the 86 Steakhouse, which will take up residence in the ground-floor spot in The Address Dubai Marina.

Specific opening dates are yet to be confirmed. More information to follow soon.
