Posh pad for a charity dinner

The Burj Al Arab hotel has partnered with the Dubai Food Festival to raise funds for the United Nations World Food Programme. Bringing the 23-day food fare to a grand finale mid-March, the luxury hotel is selling tickets to a 'high table' dinner on its helipad, 212 metres above the Arabian Gulf.

Just 12 seats are available at a price of Dh10,000 per person and proceeds will go towards feeding an estimated 120,000 people in some of the 80 countries in which WFP operates.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Burj Al Arab's reservation team on +970 43017600. For dates, timings and full menu details email BurjAlArab@jumeirah.com
