Lebanese restaurant Al Falamanki launches a new brunch in Dubai

Al Falamanki, the latest Lebanese restaurant to open in Dubai, has just launched a Saturday brunch. The restaurant, a popular eatery in Beirut, opened in Dubai in June. Al Falamanki Dubai has a secluded outdoor terrace decked out with trees and potted plants, including plants potted in traditional Nido tins. The tins are vintage metal Nido condensed milk tins and evoke a sense of nostalgia.

The new brunch features an array of Al Falamanki’s signature dishes prepared at live cooking stations, Lebanese kaak bread, manakeesh on saj, beetroot tahini, eggs cooked over charcoal, foul medames and much more. Some of the restaurant’s signature dishes deliver classic tastes of Lebanon with a personal touch including ‘Khalil’s saj’ with thyme and a cheese mix made exclusively for Al Falamanki and ‘kbaibet in yogurt’ — fried kibbeh balls mixed with garlic, pine nuts and coriander.

Al Falamanki’s brunch launches December 3 and runs every Saturday from 11am to 2pm. Dh120 inclusive of select drinks. Al Falamanki is on Jumeirah Beach Road, opposite Four Seasons Resort. To book, call 800 325 262 654.

Ziina users can donate to relief efforts in Beirut

Ziina users will be able to use the app to help relief efforts in Beirut, which has been left reeling after an August blast caused an estimated $15 billion in damage and left thousands homeless. Ziina has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to raise money for the Lebanese capital, co-founder Faisal Toukan says. “As of October 1, the UNHCR has the first certified badge on Ziina and is automatically part of user's top friends' list during this campaign. Users can now donate any amount to the Beirut relief with two clicks. The money raised will go towards rebuilding houses for the families that were impacted by the explosion.”
