Just Falafel has opened its first outlet on the West Coast of the United States and is celebrating by diversifying the menu with The Californian special, a protein burger and potato waffle fries.

The dishes on the new menu will be made with organic, locally sourced and non-GMO produce. The Californian is a mix of traditional falafels, with fresh beets, cucumber, tomato, mixed salad, beetroot labneh and a spicy salsa.

The restaurant also offers gluten-free options and will be introducing egg muffins on its breakfast menu.

The Abu Dhabi-based restaurant chain will be expanding to Canada this month, with further branches planned for the US – New York, New Jersey, Kentucky and Los Angeles.
