Check out the cookery books available at the Taste of Dubai food festival this weekend. There are lots of hard to find books not usually available in stores in the UAE.
There are books by chefs Nigella Lawson, Mary Barry, Jamie Oliver and other names you’ll recognize, but there are also a variety of books on offer by chefs appearing at the festival. You’ll find chef Dhruv Baker’s latest book as well as several books by Chef Atul Kochhar.
There are a few Arabic language cookery books available as well. I picked up Modern Twists on Classic Dishes by Street Feast chef Andy Bates, Jose Pizarro’s Seasonal Spanish Food and a Lonely Planet guide to the world’s best street food. The festival’s book store is located next to the Electrolux Chef’s Theatre.
