Closing its doors one week, opening in an entirely new location the next - Hakkasan Group has announced its award-winning Cantonese restaurant is set to take up residence at Atlantis, The Palm, this September.

Hakkasan will join the already strong culinary line-up in The Avenues, which is already home to Gordon Ramsay’s lively Bread Street Kitchen & Bar; Ronda Locatelli by celebrated Italian chef Giorgio Locatelli; and Nobu by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

It's just a temporary move though, because at the end of 2019 the Cantonese restaurant will move to The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences, where experimental chef Heston Blumenthal is also opening a branch of his restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

“We are very excited to start this journey with Atlantis,” Nick McCabe, chief executive of Hakkasan Group says. “We are confident that diners will enjoy this Hakkasan at Atlantis, The Palm.”

The restaurant renowned for its modern interpretation of authentic Cantonese cuisine will offer Hakkasan's signature dishes such as Peking duck, Hakka steamed dim sum and charcoal grilled silver cod with honey, along with a selection of innovative dishes unique to the Atlantis establishment.

“As one of the world’s most renowned restaurant brands, we look forward to welcoming Hakkasan to our resort," says Timothy Kelly, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations for Atlantis, The Palm.

Hakkasan, which also has a branch at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, closed its Jumeirah Emirates Towers eatery on July 1.
