The enticing smells and flavours of home cooked Emirati cuisine filled the air at the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), during a masterclass with the UAE's first female chef, Khulood Atiq.

Focusing on healthy eating, the interactive session at the event’s Show Kitchen, allowed the popular chef to demonstrate how to add local herbs and spices to a number of authentic Emirati dishes. Afterwards, the packed audience got a chance to taste the fresh results.

Through her work with the Tourism Development and Investment Company and regular television appearances, Chef Khulood Atiq, works tirelessly to promote and preserve local culture through cooking and her cookbook  ‘Sarareed’.

The ADIBF, is open daily from 9am to 10pm every day until Monday 29th April.  Entrance is free.
