Dubai-based Emirati restaurant Local Bites Cafe is back in operation just in time for National Day after undergoing a revamp.
The new-look cafe, which opened in 2013 and is located on Jumeirah Beach Road, now has more of a contemporary Arabic mood. The decor is not the only thing that has undergone a revamp, the menu has too.
Breakfast options now include the traditional eggs benedict; Baith at Tamait - fresh scrambled eggs with tomatoes and parsley; the chef’s favourite - Local Bites Ijee, an omlette cooked with green pepper, tomatoes, onion, mint leaves and parsley.
Old favourites include Lugaimat - the traditional sweet fried dumpling in date syrup and the Chabab - the Emirati cardamom and saffron flavoured pancake in date syrup.
Marketing manager of the cafe, Ruba Adnan, is excited for everyone to experience the new offerings, and the old faves.
“Local Bites Café was always known for its authentic Emirati cuisine. Staying true to this, the traditional classics will continue to be on the menu with new additions inspired from fusion of different cuisines including Italian and Asian,” Adnan says.
Local Bites Cafe is located a short walk from Kite Beach on Jumeirah Beach Road and is open daily from 8am until 12.30am.
