Busaba Eathai is officially open at The Beach, opposite JBR. The restaurant features affordable Thai cuisine and was founded by Alan Yau, the man behind Hakkasan, Wagamama and Yauatcha. The restaurant started in London in 1999 and now has 12 locations in the city; this is the first branch in the Middle East. Signature dishes include massaman duck curry, ginger beef stir fry, chargrilled duck breast in tamarind sauce, Thai calamari and sen chan pad Thai. Busaba Eathai is open daily from noon to 11pm.

The new restaurant TRE by Roberto Rella will soon launch in Dubai. The restaurant is the third concept in the UAE by the restaurateur. The name TRE, which means three in Italian, is a nod to Rella’s third venture here. The restaurant is located on three floors — level 49, 50 and 51 — in the Radisson Royal Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. Each floor has its own distinct design and purpose: one level is the restaurant, one level is the bar and one level is the lounge. The restaurant will offer traditional Italian cuisine with Mediterranean influence. The restaurant is scheduled to open at the end of April.
