• Qbara has introduced a new menu with summer-friendly options to sink your teeth into. Try the new crudo of yellow tail with coriander, lime and caviar; seven-spiced crispy salmon with tomato jam and mastic oil; or the quinoa salad with pomegranate, greens and lemon. Vladimir Gelev, Qbara’s general manager, says, “When dealing with the summer heat in the UAE, which as we all know can be challenging to say the least, it seemed obvious to create a menu that you can enjoy that fits the time of year and stay positive while the heat blasts from all directions.” The menu will be available until mid September. • Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant at the Burj Views has just launched a new end of summer promotion to add excitement to your morning meetings. The casual, New York-inspired restaurant offers an assortment of organic baked goods that change each day of the week. Scones on Sundays, muffins for Mondays, Tuesday ‘brookies’ (a mix between a brownie and a cookie), chocolate chunk cookies for Wednesdays, and butterscotch blondies on Thursdays. Each package comes with 12 pieces and ranges in price from Dh150 to Dh200. It’s a sweet way to start morning meetings at the office. • Toko Dubai is turning Japan’s Marine Day celebration into a two-month long affair. The restaurant will feature an exclusive set Umi No Hi menu until the end of September. But it’s best to go hungry. The menu serves up a taste of 10 different seafood specialties along with a dessert bento box. Dishes on the menu include salmon tartare with wasabi miso and sweet potato chips; rock shrimp tempura with spicy mayonnaise; pan-fried scallops with sweet pickled apple and jalapeño garlic; smoked miso salmon with pickled ginger and more.
