The exotic taste of Peru has arrived at The Galleria in Abu Dhabi in the form of the much-anticipated Latin American restaurant Coya, which officially opened its doors today (March 20).

Serving a selection of mouthwatering contemporary Peruvian cuisine with a Latin American flair, Coya Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island is set over two levels and can seat up to 120 guests inside and out.

Guests who dine at Coya in the capital can expect to enjoy dishes including the Tiradito de Serviola, the Peruvian raw fish classic, mixed with truffle oil and chives, global favourite Chilean Seabass, which is cooked in an impressive brassa (an open charcoal grill) along with an array of ceviche, anticuchos (marinated skewers fired on a charcoal grill).

Just like its popular Dubai counterpart, the capital’s newest restaurant boasts an enticing colourful interior, which includes specially handcrafted furniture. It also features a vibrant Pisco Lounge and library for those who want to stay a while.

“The Coya team is thrilled to be opening Coya Abu Dhabi in order to serve our loyal guests from all over the UAE. We never dreamed the success of Coya Dubai would transcend emirates the way it has which has made the anticipation for this latest milestone in the journey of the Coya brand so exciting,” say the management team of Coya Abu Dhabi.

The waterfront restaurant adds another touch of flavour to an already impressive list of new restaurants to have joined The Dining Collection in recent months, including Nusr-Et, Loca and Roberto’s.

What is a robo-adviser?

Robo-advisers use an online sign-up process to gauge an investor’s risk tolerance by feeding information such as their age, income, saving goals and investment history into an algorithm, which then assigns them an investment portfolio, ranging from more conservative to higher risk ones.

These portfolios are made up of exchange traded funds (ETFs) with exposure to indices such as US and global equities, fixed-income products like bonds, though exposure to real estate, commodity ETFs or gold is also possible.

Investing in ETFs allows robo-advisers to offer fees far lower than traditional investments, such as actively managed mutual funds bought through a bank or broker. Investors can buy ETFs directly via a brokerage, but with robo-advisers they benefit from investment portfolios matched to their risk tolerance as well as being user friendly.

Many robo-advisers charge what are called wrap fees, meaning there are no additional fees such as subscription or withdrawal fees, success fees or fees for rebalancing.
