Abu Dhabi Foodie News: Mums eat free, seafood celebration and Circo’s new brunch

• The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is celebrating mums next month. Throughout March, all mums will be treated to a complimentary St. Regis afternoon tea when she visits with a family member. Choose from 25 types of loose tea leaves along with finger sandwiches, scones and pastries. Cost (for the family member) starts at Dh160. In addition to the free tea, the hotel’s signature restaurant Villa Toscana is offering a free meal to all mums when they visit the restaurant with their families on March 10 and March 21. • Benjarong at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi will host Thai Seafood Week the first week of every month. Chef Yongyos Chimthep will dish up his Thai seafood specialities such as grilled king prawns served with spicy sauce, king scallops with oyster sauce and wok-fried lobster with hot basil leaves. The signature dish is the wok-fried soft shell crab. The Thai seafood dishes will be available for lunch from 12:30 to 3pm and for dinner from 7pm to 10:30pm. For reservations, call 02 698 8137.

• New brunches keep popping up. Circo, the new Italian restaurant at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi has just launched its Friday brunch, which will feature sharing appetisers, a main course from the à la carte menu and a range of desserts and cheeses to finish the meal.
