• The newly opened Asia de Cuba has just launched a Friday brunch. The Cuban fusion restaurant will offer a four-course menu featuring its signature tapas, salads, main dishes and desserts. From noon to 4pm. Dh275+. 02 699 3333
• This month, Al Ain Dairy is launching a line of ice cream made with camel milk. There will be six flavours offered in hypermarkets across the country including chocolate, vanilla, saffron and cardamom. www.alaindairy.com
• Le Royal Meridien's Director of Food and Beverage and executive chef Justin Galea is spearheading an adopt-a-school programme where he'll offer kids in schools a hands-on approach to healthy eating. Trained chefs will conduct a child-friendly, one-hour food education session in participating classrooms where teachers and parents will be invited to attend. The adopt-a-school programme will target primary schools.
