• Buddha-Bar in Grosvenor House Dubai is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. In what's being dubbed "the biggest closing party of the summer", the marina hotspot will host not one but two famous DJs. On Thursday July 23, DJ Glass Coffee will spin the decks before Buddha Bar stalwart, DJ Ravin, gets the crowd jumping on Friday July 24 from 8pm onwards. Both events are free entry.

• BOA Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi's Eastern Mangroves Promenade has launched a new, limited-edition set menu for two. Priced at Dh495, the deal offers diners a sizable Porterhouse Steak to share, with a duo of side dishes and two hours of unlimited select beverages. The steak promotion is available alongside Boa's á la carte menu from August 1 until September 31, from 7pm – 10pm.

• In case you didn't have your diary marked, it's Peruvian Independence day on July 28th. Situated within Restaurant Village in Dubai's Four Season's Hotel, Coya will be marking the occasion in style. There will be Peruvian music, dedicated art and themed cuisine, as well as staff in national costumes. Traditional cocktails will be served at Coya from 7-8pm and guests who book early can join a masterclass to learn how to make their own Pisco Sours.

Asia de Cuba Abu Dhabi, has some sizzling Latino deals to tickle your tastebuds this summer. Pop down between 5-8pm on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays to experience Hemingway Hour. For Dh145 per person, patrons will be able to enjoy the late writer Ernest Hemingway's three favourite Cuban cocktails and a complimentary bar bite. Click here for details.

• Every Sunday in August, Solo restaurant, located in Dubai's Raffles Hotel, will run a promotion called Vino e Cioccolato focusing on grape and chocolate pairings. From 7pm onwards, guests will be treated to four beverages and four complimenting handmade chocolates. Flavour combos will include spicy cinnamon, ginger, dates and raspberries. Vino e Cioccolato evenings are priced at Dh140 per person. Go to the website for more information.

• This summer sees the launch of Poco Loco at The Beach opposite Dubai's JBR. Head to the venue to sample fresh mocktails and Latin-American soul food including yellowfin tiraditos and quesadillas.
