The Governors Awards is an annual event held by the Academy (as in that Oscars academy) during which honorary Oscars are given out to film stalwarts.

This year, Geena Davis, Wes Studi, David Lynch and Lina Wertmuller were given honorary Oscars for their work in the movie world.
