The Venice Film Festival has drawn to a close for another year, with several stars departing the Italian city with a trophy in hand.

The cinematic event's closing ceremony was held last night, with Todd Phillips's Joker taking the prestigious Golden Lion during the gala event.

Before the awards ceremony, however, stars of both behind and in front of the camera walked the red carpet, such as Joaquin Phoenix, Elizabeth Debicki and Mick Jagger.

Jury member Hend Sabry also donned a LBD for the occasion, as she was joined on the night by Stacy Martin and Donald Sutherland.
