She starred as one of the world's most chic first ladies in 2016 biopic Jackie, but Natalie Portman is just as much of a fashion pin-up in her own right.

The actress, 39, has become known for her timeless sense of style on the red carpet – and she's had decades to perfect it, after making her big-screen debut in 1994's Leon: The Professional.

The Oscar-winning star, who won Best Actress for her turn in 2010's Black Swan, long ago made the savvy choice to steer clear of trends when stepping out for ceremonies and premieres, instead veering towards perennially classic silhouettes and hues.

Favouring storied French labels such as Lanvin, Portman is also a fan of American label Rodarte's dreamy, ethereal creations. And, as an ambassador for Dior, she can always be relied upon to pluck some of the most head-turning numbers from the brand's seasonal runways.
