Awards season got under way in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, as the great and good of Hollywood turned out for the 77th annual Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes honours the best in film and television, and the stars were out in force to celebrate one of Hollywood's biggest nights.

This year's ceremony is once again being hosted by comedian and actor Ricky Gervais. It is expected to be a big night for streaming giant Netflix, which dominated with a total of 17 nominations.
