Anyone with even a passing interest in fashion should make a point of heading to the Sharjah International Book Fair this Saturday, because the event will play host to none other than Alexandra Shulman OBE, the ex editor-in-chief of British Vogue.
Shulman is in town promoting her 2016 book, Inside Vogue: My Diary Of Vogue's 100th Year. Of course, a lot has happened since she penned this tome - not least of all, her exit from Vogue this summer after 25 years in the role.
She is a “special guest of honour” at the Sharjah International Book Fair, and will be seen in conversation with Iman Ben Chaibah in a talk entitled: From fashion to friendship; in a world of brands, styling and Instagram, how do we define what stands the test of time?
With years of experience at the helm of one of the world's premier fashion titles, Shulman's knowledge of the industry is second to none, meaning the talk is bound to be insightful and enlightening. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Shulman earlier today, ahead of her appearance. "I think it is a very interesting time to be involved in fashion," she said. "So much is changing, fashion is evolving so quickly".
