Today is Ladies’ Day at the Royal Ascot. As expected, this is when spectators really make an effort to impress and put on their most glamourous dresses and hats for the day’s big races.

Female guests have to adhere to a strict dress code, which says that dresses and skirts must be no shorter than just above the knee while suits must be full length and of matching colour and material. Hats are also mandatory.
