Saudi Humanitarian, philanthropist and entrepreneur Ameerah Al Taweel has welcomed a baby boy named Zayed with her Emirati businessman husband.
News of the former Saudi princess' baby boy was confirmed on Twitter, when she tweeted her thanks after a follower congratulated her on welcoming baby Zayed.
She has since changed her Twitter bio to read "mother of Zayed", as well as the phrase, "You must be the change you want to see in the world."
Later on Saturday, August 24 she confirmed the news in a second tweet, writing in Arabic, "I thank every person who has congratulated me and wished me well. Truly, you have overwhelmed me with your love ... a blessing from Allah."
Fans have been reaching out to congratulate the couple on Twitter and Instagram.
Al Taweel married her husband in a private wedding ceremony in Paris, France in September last year, with Oprah Winfrey reportedly in attendance.
She was previously married to Saudi billionaire Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal until they separated in 2013.
