Just when the cooler months are beginning to roll around, one of Dubai’s most premium beach clubs, El Chiringuito, has announced that on September 23 it shut its doors with immediate effect.

However, a spokesperson for the club confirmed that a new concept, with a different name but similar vibe, will open in the same location on October 5.

Located in Rixos The Palm, El Chiringuito was famed for its Instagram-friendly bohemian decor, chilled-out beachy vibe and long-lunch concept. The club, which was run by UAE hospitality consultancy firm Crystal Group, opened less than two years ago, in December 2016, replacing the group’s Eden Beach Club.

And while the Palm Jumeirah is central, due to its location on the tip of a frond, the beach club is at least a 25 minute drive from Dubai Marina. Also, many guests at Rixos The Palm stay at the hotel on an all-inclusive basis.

A statement released by the group calls the closure a “difficult decision”, albeit one that was “effective immediately”.

Patrons can take hope in the fact that the statement specifies the beach club “will be seeing you all sometime soon”, which we presume refers to the venue that’s planned for October 5, although no further details, nor even its name, are known at the moment.

Crystal Group also oversees operations of 40 Kong and Em Sherif in Downtown Dubai.
