The Lion King is one of the biggest film releases of the year so, naturally, the film is being heavily promoted around the world.

And what better way to announce the arrival of the Disney remake in the UAE than with a light show on the side of the world's tallest building?

On Saturday, Burj Khalifa was lit up with the CGI characters from the film, including Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Timon, Pumbaa and Rafiki.

The Lion King promotion is the latest in a series of light shows to take place on the side of Burj Khalifa this year.
