Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Qatar on Monday for the first time since a three-year rift between Qatar and the kingdom, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt ended.
His delegation was greeted at Doha International airport by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The pair discussed enhancing bilateral ties and regional issues, Qatari state media said.
In February, Saudi Arabia sent a delegation to meet Qatari officials in Kuwait after restoring diplomatic, trade and travel ties with the gas-rich Gulf nation the month before.
Following the agreement, which restored diplomatic ties between Qatar and its neighbours, Qatari officials have met UAE, Saudi, Bahraini and Egyptian officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
